Win tickets to the South Beach Seafood Festival now.
The Hess Select South Beach Seafood Festival is this Saturday, October 19, turning the area around 9th Street and Ocean Drive into a small village of pop-up restaurants.

Some of Miami's finest restaurants will participate, serving delicious offerings straight from the ocean like calamari, octopus, grouper, mussels, oysters, and (yes!) stone crabs.

In fact, you might just be getting your first taste of the season at the festival.

You could write a poem, a haiku, or just a note to this fruit of the sea that make Miami so special. Also remember to add your Twitter handle or email address so if you win we can notify you. If we can't get in touch -- we can't give you the tickets!

We'll pick two winners on Thursday morning at 9 a.m. and announce it. The tickets will be waiting for you at our offices in Wynwood at 2750 NW Third Ave., Suite 24, so be sure you can pick them up between Thursday and Friday.

Top 5 reasons why I LOVE stone crabs

5) They are lobster's more down to earth and fun to eat cousin.

4) Cracking one open not only leads to a delicious treat, but also relieves stress.

3) They pair perfectly with almost any alcoholic beverage.

2) The word stone is in their name, and let's face it, what girl does like a nice rock ;)

1) Joe's Stone Crab...need I say more?

Stone Crab is my all time favorite, not just of the sea but of all foods in general! The first time I enjoy the delicious meat was my birthday almost 12 years ago...  My life was never the same. It makes the already special time of year even better! I'm going to eat to my heart content this weekend.. and if its free, EVEN BETTER! :)

Stone crabs are delicious. I can eat them all day. I wish I could win this tickets!!!!

I was going to write an ode to the stone crab, long awaited love, brief beautiful interactions and than gone for yet another year,  that sort of thing, but the creative juices weren't flowing. Alas, who doesn't love a good juicy stone crab from Joe's!

I love stone crabs so much that I drive from Weston to Miami Beach to eat at Joe's Stone Crabs and patiently wait an hour in the lobby to be seated. I love stone crabs so much that I almost stopped at a seafood place called Eat at Joe's in Broward on University Drive, but I changed my mind knowing that there is only one Joe's and that ain't it. @mrbluelouboyle
