Brooklyn Brewery Tour Brings the Borough to Miami

Brooklyn comes to Miami for one glorious week.
Brooklyn Brewery is taking a bit of the New York City borough with the most street cred on the road. What in hell does that mean, and how, exactly, do you bring Brooklyn to Miami, anyway?

By delivering the best of Brooklyn's art, music, parties, culture, and (of course) beer to the Magic City. The Brooklyn Brewery Mash stops in Miami December 9 through 15. The 305 is the last location on an 11-city tour that benefits Slow Food USA.

Because it's the Brooklyn Brewery Mash, beer is prominently featured, including some rare Brooklyn Brewery beers not usually seen outside New York. You can also expect some awesome light shows and projection art courtesy of NBNY, the organizers of Brooklyn's Bring to Light Festival.

There's a packed roster of events, some free, some with price tags. Here's the entire week's worth of beer-flavored goodness:

Mash HQ
December 10 through 13 from 5 to 7 p.m.
Abbey Brewing Co. (Free)

Enjoy Brooklyn Brewery beer specials and try new and rare offerings. There will also be giveaways nightly.

Art of the Burger
Monday, December 9, at 7 p.m.
Shake Shack, Coral Gables ($25)

Learn about the flavor profile behind Shake Shack's craveable burgers from the chain's culinary director, Mark Rosati. Then learn how to pair burgers with beer hand-selected by Brooklyn Brewery house chef Andrew Gerson.

Chaos Cooking
Tuesday, December 10, at 6 p.m.
Secret location TBA -- see (Free)

It's a potluck dinner meets a pop-up. Strangers mingle, contribute ingredients to make a dish of their choice, and everyone cooks together before sitting down to a massive feast. Think of it as your office holiday party, but with people you might actually want to spend time with.

Local 2 Ways
Wednesday, December 11, at 7 p.m.
The Federal Food Drink and Provisions ($60)

Miami meets Brooklyn when the Federal's Cesar Zapata and Aniece Meinhold team up with Brooklyn Brewery house chef Andrew Gerson for a multicourse dinner.
