Keep it classy with some vegan cupcakes.
The House of V, the home-based vegan bakery run by a former Bouchon pastry cook, is popping up at a retail space for Art Basel.

Owner Valentina Cordero will launch a temporary bakery at Miami Iron Side on the Upper Eastside. Its grand opening is scheduled for today from 5 to 10 p.m.

Cordero debuted the House of V last year, offering organic, gluten-free, vegan pastries. Her lovely cupcakes are adorned with edible flowers and microgreens. Flavors include almond, coconut, spirulina, orange, and apple. The creations cost $40 a dozen.

This is the first time her sweets will pop up at a storefront. The idea came to fruition after Cordero met with real estate developer Ofer Mizrahi, the founder of Miami Iron Side.

"I fell in love with the space and the energy at Miami Iron Side and felt really welcome," she explains. "It's an amazing community -- a place for art, fashion, great food, and more."

Plans are to operate the pop-up through December. The pastry chef is working on a permanent location, but that project is still in the works.

"I couldn't be happier to bring a plant-based addition to the city," she says.

The House of V's pop-up debuts today at Miami Iron Side from 5 to 11 p.m. and will run through the month of December.
