Miami's Best Eats and Drinks This Weekend: Swamp Stomp, Carnaval, and Dr. Seuss

The South Beach Wine & Food Festival is over for another year and, though some of us have been in serious detox mode, it's time to party once again. After all, how many days does your liver need to recover? We're saying five days should do it.

This weekend's activities are pretty varied -- from a good 'ole hootenanny complete with barbecue (and a six-hour open bar) to a celebration on the mile (complete with frita pop-up) to the celebration of the world's most beloved children's author (by eating green eggs and ham).

Your weekend starts now!

Party on at Tobacco Road
Swamp Stomp at Tobacco Road
Long before all-night clubs, Miami was just a small town on the edge of a giant swamp. The Swamp Stomp celebrates those Miami roots with a two-day celebration of music, food, and drinks at Tobacco Road with live performances by over a dozen bands. The party starts at 8 p.m. Friday and 7 p.m. Saturday and admission is $10 in advance or $15 at the door. An even tastier deal is the VIP ticket, which gets you GA admission on Friday, and a six-hour open bar on Sunday with free carving station. A la carte barbecue dishes are available both days. Visit tobacco-road.com for a list of bands and to purchase advance tickets.
