The 27th annual Best of Miami issue is in the works and all over Miami, New Times writers are diligently searching for the newest, shiniest, and most unique people, places, and things to share with you, our readers.

Each year, our Best Of issue has a signature theme. This year, we're channeling Grand Theft Auto, Pac Man and Frogger with a "Game On" feel, so get your competitive side moving.

Best of Miami celebrates our city and the most wonderful restaurants, clubs, shops, and services in our neighborhood. And, it's huge -- with over 300 different categories ranging from best burger to best gun shop!

We know our readers are pretty darn savvy when it comes to eating, playing, and shopping in Miami. That's why we're asking for your opinion with our Readers' Choice categories.

Starting today we want to know your favorite place to have a martini... or work out... or get a haircut.

Since you're reading Short Order, you're probably a "foodie" (and if you're really into food, you hate that term). This is your time to voice your opinion in nearly two dozen food and drink-related categories. Do you know a secret hole-in-the-wall breakfast spot? How about a place to get the best pizza outside of Italy? Is there a restaurant that serves a Cuban meal just like abuela? Don't keep these gems to yourself. Share it with the world and give these places the recognition they deserve!

Just visit readerschoice.miaminewtimes.com to see all the Readers' Choice categories and to nominate your favorites through Wednesday, April 30.

On Monday, May 5, voting will open again for the final round, where readers can pick from the selected nominees to be crowned Best of Miami winners. The winners will be announced Thursday, June 19, when our Best of Miami issue hits newsstands and online.
