Sixteen different oysters? Why yes, don't mind if we do.
Look alive, Miami. It's time for another made-up food holiday and all the prime-priced perks that come with it.

If you're all about shucking and slurping, then get excited: National Oyster Day is tomorrow. Tons of places are serving up specials in celebration of the briny aphrodisiac. Whether you want to grab a bar stool and keep them coming or oyster hop around the block, here's some Miami spots serving up tasty mollusks for a steal.

Start slurping.
Altamare
If you like to shoot your oysters down, then head to Altamare. The ultra-fresh seafood joint is celebrating the day and their renovation with $1 oyster shots during happy hour from 5 to 7 p.m. Know what goes with oyster shooters? Grouper cake, also available during happy hour for $7.

OTC
Brickell's favorite craft beer spot will serve up an oyster po' boy for lunch at only $10, courtesy of Jacob Anaya. When the clock strikes 5, you can get a half-dozen raw oysters for the same price and happy hour craft beer.

Red The Steakhouse
Executive chef Peter Vauthy will serve an Oyster Flight ($18) just for Oyster Day. The flight includes six West Coast fellows several ways: two on the half shell, two broiled with garlic and parmesan (New Orleans style), and two classic oyster Rockefeller style. That's six ways to celebrate your favorite holiday.

Macchialina
This SoBe Italian darling may not come first to mind when thinking of oysters, but it should. Have a glass of wine with Michael Pirolo and Jen Chaefsky as you slurp down oysters for $1.50 a pop.

Cold water oysters have much less of a chance of carrying enough of the Vibrio vulnificus bacteria to harm you. If you're worried stay away from the gulf and other warm water shellfish.
