Spice It Up
The restaurant promotion, which began August 1, lasts two months but you'd be crazy not to take advantage from the get go. Plenty of places are offering lunch specials during the week to get you in and out of three courses in an hour. We've even rounded up the good picks. Stay tuned for the best and ones not worth your valuable time. Visit ilovemiamispice.com.
Illegal Activity at Taperia Raca
The company whose motto is "so good it's gotta be illegal," and whose products are usually found in local farmers' markets is popping up with their forbidden treats at Taperia Raca starting today at 8 a.m. You know what they say -- early bird gets the worm. Or in this case, the illicit French macaroons served for breakfast.
Spiaggia Pop-Up at Harry's Pizzeria
Harry's Pizzeria knows how to throw a pop-up. Since 2011, the pizzeria has held family-style dinners with guest chefs and Tuesday makes No. 25. This dinner features Tony Mantuano, the man behind Chi-town's Spiaggia and SoBe's Lorenzo. Mantuano will cook up a welcome cocktail, passed appetizers, and three courses. Harry's will provide free-flowing wine all night long. Well worth the $150 price tag, which also includes a token of appreciation from Mantuano. Event starts at 7 p.m. First come basis.
