This Week's Best Eats and Drinks in Miami: Ravenous Pig, Terrapin, Ommegang, and Cigar City
Another Monday morning rears its ugly head. On the bright side, this week is full of eating and drinking opportunities. From the Ravenous Pig chef and owner James Petrakis bringing his swine to Tongue & Cheek to the Broken Shaker and Pubbelly teaming up for an epic one-night Miami Spice dinner, it's a week of collaborations.

Kitchen Collab With James Petrakis
Tongue & Cheek is doing the monthly Kitchen Collab thing, and this is one that all of you pork lovers out there won't want to miss. It stars James Beard nominee James Petrakis from the Ravenous Pig and Cask & Larder in Orlando. The night's menu will be swine-centric, with Jamie DeRosa and Petrakis collaborating on all five courses, and will feature three brews from Cask & Larder, brought over specifically for the occasion. Dinner is at 7 p.m. and costs $75 per person (excluding tax and gratuity).

You're probably thinking this has something to do with pizza. Well, you're totally wrong. This is actually a night of beer and barbecue. Terrapin Beer Company is heading down to to the Key West Brew Fest this Labor Day weekend, but not before stopping by Harry's to show off the Grecian craft beer. Pick brewmaster Spike Buckwoski's brain between servings of barbecue. All you gotta do is pick up a pizza plate and serve yourself from any one of the stations, where you'll find barbecue pork shoulder, watermelon and feta salad, or roasted sweet-and-sour head-on shrimp. Be on the lookout for Hedy Goldsmith, who'll pass out frozen peanut butter pie pops. The event begins at 7 p.m., and tickets cost $68.
Beer-Pairing Dinner at Haven

In other beer news, everyone's favorite gastro-lounge is hosting its first beer-pairing dinner. Chef Todd Erickson will cook up quite the storm to pair with Ommegang's greatest hits -- Abbey Ale, Gnomegang, Hop House, and its most popular, Three Philosophers. Just in time for Labor Day and as a farewell to summer (sorta), Erickson is keeping things cool with a peach salad with a pecan-mint pesto and a burnt-honey vinaigrette and buttermilk fried chicken with Brussels coleslaw and sweet pickled melon, among other dishes. Dinner begins at 7 p.m. and costs $50 per person.
