McDonald's South Beach was the scene of a shooting over the weekend.
The McDonald's on Washington Avenue at Lincoln Road is one of the liveliest places in Miami Beach. At any hour of the day or night, the fast-food restaurant is filled with a mix of young and old, trendy and homeless, tourists and locals craving a quick bite before the beach or after a long night of partying.

But the usual busy scene turned chaotic when two men were shot inside the eatery early Sunday morning.

Miami Beach Police said they responded to several calls of shots fired inside the McDonald's on Washington Avenue at Lincoln Road around 4 a.m. Sunday.

Officers found the victims inside the restaurant. The suspect fled the scene and is still at large. Investigators are not yet sure whether the suspect knew the victims or if the shooting was random.

According to WSVN, the two men were transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. They remain unidentified by police.

Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers requests that anyone with information call 305-471-TIPS.
