Get crawling...
Dishcrawl, the national food tour that takes foodies on a walking culinary adventure through a neighborhood, is back. For the first crawl of the year, Dishcrawl organizers have appointed Coconut Grove as the dishing location of choice. What could possibly be better than savoring favorites from three restaurants for just $45, while parading through the historical and charming area of Coconut Grove? Perhaps a peacock sidekick to accompany you on your stroll. Chances are high in these peacock-crowded streets.

Dishcrawl Miami 2014 kicks off next Wednesday, June 18. With just a little over a year since Dishcrawl landed in Miami, we talked to Miami's Dishcrawl Ambassador Alex Guerra about why Coconut Grove is spotlighted, how Don Draper is going to be involved, and a sneak peak at one of the participating restaurants.

Coral Gables Restaurant Week Begins Today: Meal Deals, Classes, and More

Foodies congregate at the Westin hotel for Taste of the Gables.
Coral Gables Restaurant Week begins today, offering Miami residents dining deals at 35 area restaurants. Similar to Miami Spice, restaurants offer locals the opportunity to dine at a discount by featuring prix fixe lunch, dinner, and even brunch deals for the duration of the event, which continues through June 29. CGRW also offers several special ancillary events, such as cooking classes and limited attendance dinners.

It all started last Thursday with Taste of the Gables, a food and drink festival where attendees were able to sample food from 20 of the CGRW participating eateries. A record turnout this year proves yet again that Miami has more to offer than Midtown and Wynwood as dining destinations. You don't have to travel east of I-95 for a good restaurant and picturesque neighborhood.

Miami Heat Plays Tonight: Watch Parties at MPP and Toro Toro with Octopus & Beer,

Ok, so we may have lost game one against the Bulls, but that means nothing. Haters are already getting excited. Uhh, remember in 06' when we were down two and then came back and won four straight? Yeah ...

In support of the Heat these local establishments are throwing some watch parties. Check down below for updates.

The Miami Heat is on, and no we're not talking about the weather. Defending champions (is it too soon to predict this year's outcome?) and our lovable hometown team swept round one of the playoffs and begins young two tonight against the Chicago Bulls. What do you have to say about that Lil' Wayne?

We thought so.

And because our city is so damn proud of the Heat but hates the actual heat, downtown restaurants have decided to jump on the bandwagon and are hosting watch parties with ice cold beer specials and some bites to go along. Don't expect chicken wings and fries. We don't mean sports bars or Hooters.

Serfer knows just what Miami's food industry people need besides sleep and sex.

Ever worked at a restaurant? It's kind of the worst. Terrible hours. Crazy customers. Second-degree burns all over your hands and forearms.

The restaurant industry doesn't play around.

So Danny Serfer wants to help, and that's why he's officially kicked off a late-night menu and extended weekend hours for Miami's industry folk.

Think of it as the new late-night hangout with a special menu, a care-free vibe, and "jhorts."
