Salmon tartare.
If your weekday lunch needs a makeover from that sad microwaveable frozen meal or wrinkly brown paper bag, head to Toscana Divino in Mary Brickell Village.

A couple of weeks ago, this sleek Italian eatery launched L'originale: Lunch Italiano, offering a rotating three-course lunch menu for $23 on weekdays. The restaurant, commissioned in part by the city of Florence and the region of Tuscany, offers the senses an affordably priced minivacation from mundane workweek meals.

Miami Heat Plays Tonight: Watch Parties at MPP and Toro Toro with Octopus & Beer,

Ok, so we may have lost game one against the Bulls, but that means nothing. Haters are already getting excited. Uhh, remember in 06' when we were down two and then came back and won four straight? Yeah ...

In support of the Heat these local establishments are throwing some watch parties. Check down below for updates.

The Miami Heat is on, and no we're not talking about the weather. Defending champions (is it too soon to predict this year's outcome?) and our lovable hometown team swept round one of the playoffs and begins young two tonight against the Chicago Bulls. What do you have to say about that Lil' Wayne?

We thought so.

And because our city is so damn proud of the Heat but hates the actual heat, downtown restaurants have decided to jump on the bandwagon and are hosting watch parties with ice cold beer specials and some bites to go along. Don't expect chicken wings and fries. We don't mean sports bars or Hooters.

Categories: Local Specials

Serfer knows just what Miami's food industry people need besides sleep and sex.

Ever worked at a restaurant? It's kind of the worst. Terrible hours. Crazy customers. Second-degree burns all over your hands and forearms.

The restaurant industry doesn't play around.

So Danny Serfer wants to help, and that's why he's officially kicked off a late-night menu and extended weekend hours for Miami's industry folk.

Think of it as the new late-night hangout with a special menu, a care-free vibe, and "jhorts."

Michy's to Go Cell-Phone Free at Sensational Sundays Dinner Series

Chef Bernstein is bringing back some Sra. Martinez favorites this Sunday.
Trying to juggle parenting with running a group of successful restaurants has to be a challenge for Michelle Bernstein and her husband/partner David Martinez.

Especially when Bernstein and Martinez are planning their next restaurant concept (though that nugget of intel has been confirmed, the date, location, and concept are still a way off).

So how does a power couple ensure quality family time? Pledge to forgo cell phones, emails, and iPads on Sundays in exchange for an old-fashioned meal filled with good food and that thing we used to watch Opie and Andy and the Cleavers do around the dinner table...wait...what is it?  Oh yes..personal interaction, also known as conversation.

Bernstein likes the idea of a place where people can enjoy good food and good conversation so much, she's turning Michy's into a cell phone-free zone on Sundays. Starting this Sunday, October 21 through November, Bernstein is hosting a weekly dinner series, entitled Sensational Sundays.
